Bert Laranjo is the Conservative Party of Canada’s candidate in Hamilton West—Ancaster—Dundas, where he lives with his wife Joanna and their two children Kylie and Iyla.
Bert is a Registered Nurse specializing in emergency nursing with 18 years experience. He works on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic as a nurse at Joseph Brant Hospital in Burlington and Toronto General. He has witnessed firsthand the impact of COVID-19 on Canadians and our healthcare system. He has chaired provincial conferences, lead policy and political action initiatives, served as Communications Officer, and more.
One of the most memorable experiences in Bert’s medical career has been a month-long sabbatical working in Moosonee, Moose Factory and Attawapiskat, in Northern Ontario to help set-up, train staff and implement processes for daily operations. Bert earned the Research and Innovation Award from Toronto’s University Health Network for this work.
Bert also owns and operates a medical consulting and training business. He has taught courses at York University in Toronto and Mount Royal University in Calgary. As a business owner, he understands the difficult situation that so many businesses find themselves in.
Canadians need a government that is focused on making life more affordable for families and supporting small businesses. Bert and Joanna are increasingly concerned about how life has become less affordable under Justin Trudeau, a situation only made worse by COVID-19. As the Member of Parliament for Hamilton West—Ancaster—Dundas, Bert will bring a wealth of experience in healthcare, business, and leadership to Ottawa.
Secure the future, help elect Erin O’Toole’s Conservatives and get Canada’s economy back on track.
